We make sure your benefits reflect the risk and commitment you bring to the job. GPOA negotiates competitive pay, retirement plans, and medical retirement options. Members also receive allowances for uniforms and essential equipment, paid time off, and protected leave. As a member, you gain exclusive voting rights on union contracts and, after 20 continuous years of service, receive a retirement bonus of $150 per year of service.

GPOA hosts and participates in a range of events including Officer of the Year celebrations, the “Battle of the Badges” arm wrestling tournament, and the “Bags for Hope” cornhole fundraiser.
